Jamie Toff Biography

Jamie first qualified as a sports therapist in 1997 and then gained his personal trainer certification with the YMCA in 1997. After working at Holmes Place and The Laboratory Spa & Health club, in 1999 he moved careers working first in advertising and then as a Government Bond futures trader in 2001.

In 2009 Jamie returned to health and fitness, as the stresses and strains of the financial markets were taking their toll and he was looking to do much more fulfilling work again.

He join GymBox in Covent Garden as a gym manager and then moved to GymBox Bank and managed there until 2015 when he relinquished that role to concentrate on the White Collar Boxing company he founded. Jamie remained there until May 2021 and opened Boxing, Bars & Bells in June 2021.

Boxing Career

Martial Arts

Jamie first started in combat with Alastair Monteith and the British Institute of Chinese Martial Arts in 1992. During this time and as part of the club, Jamie competed in kickboxing at two Mugendo competitions under coach Terry White.

Malaysia 1996

In the summer of 1996, he also travelled and toured Malaysia training with Master Tang of the Chin Woo school in Kualalumpur.

White Collar Boxing

In 2001 after Jamie moved into the City to work as a trader, he became involved in White Collar Boxing and joined The Real Fight Club training at the Lennox Lewis Hennesy gym in Clapton. In 2003 he had his first fight and went on to fight in over 25 contests winning the British and European Cruiser Weight belts.

Brawl St

In 2010 Jamie started Brawl St, a White Collar Boxing events company with his trainer Mike Cullen. They produced four shows and promoted the highly acclaimed Brawl St Fight Night for the Williams Fund at the St Pauls Grange Hotel raising over £11,000 for the charity.

Fighting For Charity

In 2014 Jamie started Fighting For Charity. Over seven years he promoted 11 fight nights at prestigious venues such as the St Pauls Grange Hotel, York Hall, Bethnal Green and the Indigo at the o2. Over £300,000 has been raised officially so far.

Boxing Events & Promotions Consultant

Boxing events promotion and consultation is another arm of Fighting for charity. Jamie has produced several shows for the Office Agents of London and Action Aid.  


Boxing Education

Over the years, Jamie has had the privilege to be trained by and spar with some outstanding coaches and professional boxers including Mike Cullen, Sven Hamer, Barry McGuigan, Jimmy Tibbs, Joe Calzaghe and Ciaran Duffy.

Boxing Training 

In 2004 Jamie started training online with Strength & Conditioning Boxing coach Ross Boxing. He also learned the speed pad combination that became popular with Floyd Mayweather from Coach Rick. 


It was also through Ross that Jamie discovered Crossfit. He trained at the first box in London, The Chalk Board Gym with Andrew Stemler and at Crossfit London. 

CrossFit Coaching

Following this, he joined Crossfit Thames and trained with Jami Tikkanen. Jamie then moved to Brighton and joined crossfit Connect taking part in several throw downs and training with Barney Gabos Gehicken.

Most Recently

Most recently Jamie competed with his wife Rachel at the 2021 Pick It Up Put It Down competition in East Sussex.


Jamie has gained many qualifications over his training and coaching career with organisations and industry leaders such as: Charles Poliquin, CrossFit, Gym Jones and Concept 2. He also, in 2021, became a fully qualified nutrition coach by successfully completing Precision Nutrition Level 2.
